This months prospect is a US Care FDC combo, with the 6 year earlier issued Salvation Army stamp on it. The FDC was issued: 27 Oct 1971. The cachet pictures a painting of a child. Stamps are: Care + three other including the SA stamp SG 1249. Several combo covers from the US has now been found, e.g., with the Servicemen (1970, Rush lamp (1979), Non-profit (1980), Volunteer issue of 1983, United Way (1987) and Honoring (1999). All themes that have prompt someone to add the stamp of the voluntary organization Salvation Army on the cover.

SA 17 – Switzerland – Multistamped FDC
A Swiss multistamped 1982 FDC was just obtained. It has a very rare postmark; from 9105 Schonengrund. The PM seems to be a special tourist PM, with the text: “Ferien Wandern Erholen” (Holiday Hiking). The item is a private and registered cover, possibly unique.
SA 25 – Norway Dramnex FDCs
At the time of the issue of the Norwegian SA stamp (18.02.1988), a National Philatelic Youth Excibition was held in Drammen – the Dramnex Exhibition. Two special postmarks was used; a Dramnex PM specially made for the exhibition and a Drammen PM picturing a local known site; Bragenes torg. Here are two different version shown double cancelled with these two PMs.
1988 – Antigua – Unlisted FDCs
These unlisted Antigua & Barbuda FDCs was just found on Ebay. The cachet seems to be made by the “Salvation Army World Services” and 3 SA black & white SA shields are pictured. Not seen before, must be rare! I’ve named them SA 26.3.
