This cover is truly extraordinary, never seen before and potentially one-of-a-kind. It features the first Salvation Army stamps ever issued; the 33-year-older Netherlands Indies SA stamp set (1932), which has been added to a United States First Day Cover (SA 4.19). This exceptional combination is likely the work of a collector or connoisseur who possessed in-depth knowledge of SA stamps. During the 1960s, likely few were familiar with the Netherlands Indies set. Additionally, obtaining stamps from foreign countries was much more challenging back then, and having extra sets for such country combo issues, let alone coming up with this combo idea, would be rare.
